The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is taking all necessary measures to minimise disruption to our emergency response during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
We have robust contingency plans in place should we encounter a high number of absences among firefighters and staff to ensure we continue to respond to every emergency to protect Scotland's communities.
To ensure the safety of the public and of our staff during the Coronavirus outbreak, we have taken the decision to temporarily suspend most Home Fire Safety Visits except for those where the occupiers are identified as being at very high risk.
Very High risk individuals are those who are -
- over 50 years old
- smoke
- live alone or
- have mobility issues
- or use medical oxygen

We also have advice for businesses during this time.
