To a lot of people the role of the fire service is to extinguish fires. The truth of the matter is that  " target="_self">chip-pan-still.jpga large part of the service is dedicated towards fire prevention andeducation in the community to reduce the danger of fires starting.

Simple precautions can often result in lives and property being saved. The advent of the home smoke detector has been significant in offering early warning and the chance to either deal with a small blaze or escape while awaiting the fire service.

An initiative currently being undertaken to help prevent domestic fires is the free home fire safety check. To request a FREE Home fire safety check , you can complete the online form and we will contact you to arrange an appointment.

Our Community Safety Team visit schools and groups to provide informaition on fire safety in the home. You can contact them here.
