Planning & Performance

Working together for a safer Scotland.

Our vision of a safer Scotland drives our performance in every area and at every level of our Service; it sets our agenda and fuels the efforts of each and every member of our staff.

Our performance is delivered through our planning processes, which set out what each part of our organisation will do to deliver that vision for Scotland.

Our priorities and objectives are defined by the Fire and Rescue Framework for Scotland 2013, which places our work within the context of the Scottish Government’s strategic objectives to make Scotland wealthier and fairer, smarter, healthier, safer and stronger, and greener.

Our progress against these objectives is the subject of close scrutiny and will be measured against defined Performance Indicators.

Our frontline delivery is measured against key performance indicators such as the numbers of accidental and deliberate fires, road traffic collisions, fire injuries and fatalities.

We work in tandem with local authorities and Community Planning Partnerships to ensure a focused approach to delivering the best outcomes for the people of Scotland.

The new Scottish Fire and Rescue Service will be publishing quarterly and annual public performance reports; these will be published on this site when they are available.
